Checklists

Checklists are a collection of items a technician checks to inspect the vehicle. You can configure checklists for most automotive repair inspections in Checklists Configuration.

You can attach checklists to labor operations so that the attached checklist is added to the ticket when the labor is added. When that labor is assigned to a technician, the checklist is also assigned to that technician. This helps the technician know what inspection items to complete in the R.O. Writer DVI app during service.

The Checklists window in R.O. Writer DVI Command shows you all repair orders or estimates with a checklist.

Checklist Guidelines

Keep in mind the following:

• R.O. Writer DVI Suite does not support parts-only tickets or quotes.
  • Quotes are estimates that do not require a customer or vehicle. The quote number begins with a “Q”.
• Checklists and checklist items remain attached - even when the labor operation is marked as declined.
• When converting a repair order to an estimate,
  • Individual items are converted rather than an entire invoice.
  • Image items are not converted, which means the checklist link stays with the original repair order.
