Customer Checklist (Version 2)
In R.O. Writer DVI Suite, checklists have two versions: Version 1 and Version 2. The difference between Version 1 and Version 2 is how the checklist appears to the customer. You choose which version to use in Checklists Configuration. Version 2 is the standard for customer-facing checklists and strongly recommended.
This customer-facing checklist:
- Includes more information, such as a picture of the vehicle (if captured during the service).
- Has a more readable and usable format for customers.
- Features a more streamlined design.
Watch the video below to learn about this customer-facing checklist.
There are two ways the customer sees the Version 2 checklist: email or text. The content and basic format of the checklist are the same, but the layout is adjusted for desktops and mobile devices.
NOTE: The printed format of the checklist is always checklist Version 1 even if you use checklist Version 2.
Customer Format via Email
When a customer opens the Version 2 checklist from an email, the customer format appears in their default web browser.
Condition Summary
A summary of the number of items in each color appears at the top. The customer can filter item conditions by clicking each symbol.
The color indicates the status of the checklist items:
- Red = Urgent
- Yellow = Warning
- Green = OK
- Blue, gray, or black = Other
The number indicates the number of checklist items with that condition.
NOTE: To preview the customer-facing checklist before emailing, open DVI Command, and click the Checklists tab. Then, open the checklist and click the Display Checklist button. The format the customer sees appears in a new browser tab.
Customer Format via Text
When a customer opens the Version 2 checklist from a text, the customer format appears in the default web browser on their smartphone.
The customer and vehicle information (including a picture if available) appear first, followed by the technician and service writer information.
The customer can scroll down to see the checklist items.
